Cool. Okay, here's today's travels. We started out with Gerald meeting my grandson Tommy, who had a thing for Gerald's nose.

And we stopped at McDonald's for a sandwich and fries before heading out.

Then we headed down to Washington DC to do some sightseeing. It was rainy and about 49 degrees F, so it was a little chilly. We did get to see quite a few places but were not able to get near the White House to take a picture and the American History Smithsonian Museum was closed. Here is the rest of Gerald's journey.

First stop was the National Cathedral on Wisconsin Ave. near Georgetown

They were having their Centenary Celebration tomorrow with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, so we only saw a couple of smaller chapels before we had to leave.

As you can see, Gerald is still the rebel - going on the grass despite the sign.

In the Resurrection Chapel

Gerald signed the Guestbook for California. First we had to find the right book,

Then he signed it "Gerald Drei, Gnome. Address: Wes's house, California"

We left Georgetown with it's hideous traffic to go downtown. First we stopped at the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Trail to take a couple of pictures:

I thought this was the Potomac River but I may be mistaken.
